Green Drinks Lansing is back!
We’re kicking off a brand new season of drinking & learning starting Friday February 3rd at Tavern on the Square in downtown Lansing. Join us as we hear from a panel of experts leading the $3 million 19-mile Michigan Avenue-Grand River Avenue Corridor Study while enjoying lovely libations.
Come hear a quick run-down of the exciting HUD Corridor Study and let us know what it means for the Lansing area from:
John Kinch - Executive Director, Michigan Energy Options
Julie Powers -Executive Director, Mid-Michigan Environmental Action Council
Sue Pigg - Executive Director, Tri-County Regional Planning Commission
Who’s organizing this? Let us introduce ourselves. Allie Muchmore is the Special Projects Associate at the Michigan Environmental Council and Kristin Jobin is the Greater Lansing Area Clean Cities Program Assistant. We both graduated from Michigan State University, love the mitten state, and are re-starting Green Drinks Lansing as a platform for ideas to spark, creative discussions to develop, and people to learn new ways to move Michigan forward.
What is Green Drinks Lansing, you may ask? We'll explain:
We are cordially inviting you to meet up with us and other people who are interested in environmental initiatives in Lansing at a fun and informal gathering known as Green Drinks. It’s the local edition of a world-wide network called Green Drinks International.
We’re holding this monthly, on the First Friday of each month.
We will have a sparkling mixture of people from non-profits, academia, government, business and the community.
Come join us! It's a great time for catching up with people you know and also for making new contacts. Feel free to Invite others along, so there’ll always a different crowd making GreenDrinks an organic, self-organizing network.
Spread the word. Feel free to use Twitter (#GreenDrinksLansing) and share this event on your friends' pages!
