LIMNO

Lake Investigations in Michigan and Nature Observations (LIMNO) is an outdoor science education program. Students observe lake conditions and gather samples; identify macroinvertebrates, test lake water for nitrates, phosphates, total dissolved solids/conductivity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, e. coliform, etc. They learn to interpret data and discuss the overall health of the water body.  Schedule a LIMNO daytrip.

The LIMNO program began in 2015 through a partnership with local science educators. MidMEAC partners with Michigan State University Agriculture and Natural Resources, Sail Center, and local educators to present this hands-on outdoor educational experience.
