Celebrate Environmental Action

MidMEAC Environmental Stewardship Awards return on Thursday, February 5th, 2026, 6:30 – 8:30 pm.  Join us as we celebrate excellence in conservation and protection of air, water, and land in mid Michigan.

Venue: Broad Art Museum, 547 E Circle Dr. East Lansing, MI 48824. Galleries open 6:30 – 7:30 pm.

Water Quality Protection Pillar Award: Montgomery Drain; Ingham County Drain Commissioner Patrick E. Lindemann

Distinguished Service Award: David Chapman, Environmental Educator

 

Companion Event: Launch party and book giveaway for The Big Read

“Our Nature: How Environment Leads Us to Hope, Courage, and Connection.”

Book supplies are limited; first 50 guests will receive “Fuzz: When Nature Breaks the Law” as part of MidMEAC’s partnership with Arts Midwest, National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Big Read, and the Capital Area District Library.

This is the first of a series of events exploring the “Our Nature” theme.
